The Cattier family has owned the vineyards since 1763 and from 1918 began making their own champagnes and selling them under the family name. In 1951, it acquired the Clos du Moulin parcel, which produces one of the oldest prestige champagne wines. Champagne Cattier is situated in Chigny les Roses a charming village in the heart of the prestigious Terroir of Montagne de Reims. Their vineyards stretch for more than 20 hectares mainly classified as "Premier Cru".
