Tasting Notes

A blend from three separate vineyards but from 2002 it will be reduced to one and become their second single vineyard wine. A mere 3.5g/l dosage. Pale straw in colour, with powerful lifted aromatics of gun metal, flint, stone and fennel. Incredibly powerful and concentrated on the palate, yet in perfect harmony and balance through support from a steely fine core of acidity. Linear and defined with opulence of fruit. Very classy, impressive and one of the best new releases to date. A big call -but I think it is even better than the 1996!
